MACHINE DESCRIPTION
The machine consists of cylindrical type fabricated body rest on vertically. Motor and blower unit mounted on top of the cylindrical body. Electrical heaters sets are supported to the body on the rear side of the machine with specially designed elegant box. Fluidization chamber (Retarding chamber) fixed in between of the body and the product container and finger bag. Product container along with trolley as an easy dismantable part fixed in between retarding chamber and rear chamber. Pneumatic cylinder used on lifting the product container and sealing the unit.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Fluid bed dryer is designed for rapid and uniform drying of crystal, powders and medium size pellets. A fan draws fresh air and passes the air through a filter and is heated to produce warm air either by electric heaters or by steam. The hot air is passes through the product container having diffuser plates and sieve. Due to the air stream the wet product gets fluidized. The material gets surrounded by hot air which gets dried due to heat transfer. Moist air passes through a filter bag and exhaust dust.
OPERATION
Fluid bed dryer is a process unit for preparation of granulated materials for solid dosage forms in batch and continuous batch operations.

It is be used in the fields of Pharmaceuticals, Bulk Drugs, Dyes & Chemicals, Food Products & Starch Derivatives, Pesticides, Phyto Chemicals, Catalysts etc.
PRODUCT CONTAINER
- Conical shape shell and flat bottom with perforated plate and fine mesh fixed to the bottom by quick clamp arrangement in SS 316 quality construction, having sight glass and light glass for process inspection, & Sampling device for online sampling.
- Fabricated from 3 mm thick. S.S. 316 quality material.
- Upper and lower end provided with 8mm thick welded flanges.
- At the bottom of bowl Dutch weave screen of 24x110 mesh supported by 6 mesh S.S.
- 304 quality screen & S.S. frame fabricated from suitable Dia. S.S. 304 Rod provided.
REAR CHAMBER HOUSING (HOT AIR UNIT)
- Fabricated with S.S. quality frame work.
- Air filter & heater assembly are housed in rear chamber. This housing has easy maintenance facilities for heater and air filter.
- Inlet duct has adjustable louvers to control the air flow.
- Filter assembly at inlet of the chamber shall have Pre filter – 20 Microns – 1 Nos.
- Fine Micron Filter – 5 Micron – 1 Nos.
- Heap filters are designed to meet critical filtration requirements with an efficiency rating of 99.97down to particle size of 0.3 micron. (Hepa Filter) Optional & Extra Coast.
- All filters are removable type for cleaning.
SUPPORT COLUMNS
- Main Unit Is Mounted On Three No’s Ss Square Pipe With C Type Structure On Back For Better Mounting.
- The Pillar are made of SS 304 Square tube 80 x 80 SQUARE 3 MM THK.
- 4 Nos Ss 304 Pads Are Provided At Bottom For Better Grip.
- All three pillars will be at Ground floor with Anchor Fastener.
- The bag up / down cylinder With Bore Size 40 And Stroke 450 is mounted on the same pillar.
- TELESCOPIC (Three stage cylinder) for bag shaking, bag UP/down (optional) Extra Coast.
FILTER CLOTH AND FILTER BAG.
Fluid Bed Dryer (FBD) is used under the system of Heat transfer by forced convection, it is applicable when your input is in granular or in crystal form, and your end product is in powder form. During the operation drying gas is passed through the bed of solids at a velocity sufficient to keep the bed in fluidized state, which promotes high heat transfer and drying rate. FLUIDIZATION
Hot air is introduced through a perforated bottom of the dryer, passing through a bed of solid particles. This air flow is designed to suspend the particles in the air, allowing them to move freely and interact with each other.
HEAT TRANSFER
The hot air transfers heat to the particles, causing the moisture to evaporate.
TURBULENT MOTION
The fluidization process creates a turbulent motion within the bed, ensuring that each particle is uniformly exposed to the hot air and that there's no stagnant area.
MOISTURE REMOVAL
As the moisture evaporates, it is carried away by the heated air, allowing for rapid drying of the material.
UNIFORM DRYING
The turbulent motion and the fact that each particle is suspended in the air ensure uniform drying, with no areas remaining wet while others are dry.
