WORKING

This type of mixer is designed in such a way that the vessel imparts movement to the material of mixing by tilting the powder until the angle of surface exceeds the angle of repose. Thus powder bulk or particles slide and get mixed in the vessel. It rotates on central shaft. Shape of cylinder comes in two truncated cones joined together by cylinder section. A tight closing lid of the fast closing type for feeding material and a discharge butterfly valve at the other end of the unit which also renders a perfect tightness. Baffles are provided in bigger unit for intense mixing.

During the process of mixing particles of powder of mixing particles of powder hit each other and wall of the mixer resulting mixing action. However speed of mixture is very important. It should run at critical speed. Too high or too low speed will definitely affect the mixing process. The blender is recommended preferably when the products to be mixed have a similar density and particular size as well as no lumping properties. Over loading of mixer with powder material should be avoided. There should be sufficient room for powder to move in drum. Critical time for mixing can be set by withdrawing the samples from mixer at interval of time and analyzing it for homogeneity.


CONSTRUCTION

Cylinder shape comes in S.S polygon shaped body with rectangular central portion and top and bottom polygonal frustum. The shell is provided with a rectangular opening (Manhole type) at one end for easy cleaning and locating the baffle during changeover, and at the other end a circular opening with a S.S. butterfly valve manually operated easy for charging/discharging of product. Baffles are provided in bigger unit for intense mixing. The blender is supported on a sturdy structure made out of S.S.304 quality. 2 Nos. 'A' shaped rigid fabricated body each other supported with angle and channel frame within the specific distance to centralize blender. The driving shaft of the shell is mounted on suitable plumber bearing block parallel to floor surface. Drive unit consists of Gearbox, Motor, Spur Gear and Pinion. The Blender is driven by electric Motor, which is coupled with Elecon Gearbox Drive. Final RPM of the blender will be 12. Our Blenders are provided S. S. pipe guard with limit switch for safety purpose. Control Panel is also provided with timer, ON / OFF switch, fuse, relays, ammeter etc. Inching arrangement is also provided for positioning the Blender. Blender units are also designed to meet requirements of GMP & also cGMP as per user’s requirements.


CHARGING /DISCHARGE

The circular opening is provided with a S.S.316 butterfly valve and a conical adapter to facilitate clamping of the charging drum to the blender. The valve can be operated from the ground level with the charging drum in the raised position with the help of a mechanical remotely operated arrangement.
The arrangement of conical adapter and charging drum for charging / discharging forms a closed system to make the operated dust free loading to better CGMP. Charging drums are of 50 Ltrs. capacity of 400dia and 500mmHt. (Extra Coast) A rectangular opening is provided for cleaning and locating the baffle during changeover.


CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

Stainless Steel :
